My Professional Journey

Strength in Support

My doula practice is based in Landivy, Pays De la Loire, France. I provide clients with the emotional, physical and practical support they need as individuals.

My personal experiences have lead me to this calling. 

I am a mother of four and have experienced being a late teen mum and an older mum. I also have been far away from family and friends with a new born and understand the challenges.

 I was a professional singer and musician up until a few years ago, but I always worked in the care, service and teaching industries alongside my music profession. At 18 I worked at a residential school for children with disabilities, In my 20s I was a breast feeding support worker for teen mums, I worked in elderly care homes and hospitality as a house keeper. I did voluntary work at a children Hospice. I taught singing at a stage school and to troubled young adults for the Youth service. Recently I was running a Choir locally sharing and teaching the health and well being benefits of singing.

  Over the years I have been acutely aware of the well-being, health and personal bonding benefits music brings plus the need for genuine compassionate and non judgemental support throughout our lives.

This has lead me to train, study, combine my personal and professional life experience and start my doula practice.
